The ruins of Mount Nemrut, one of the most magnificent ruins of the Hellenistic period, is an important archaeological discovery area, which is considered a bridge between Western and Eastern civilizations. In order to show his gratitude to the gods and his ancestors, the King of Commagene Antiochos I had his own burial temple built on the slopes of Nemrut Mountain, which is 2150 meters high, along with the statues of many Greek and Persian gods.
